We, at Rotary Club, are already committed to doing our bit for the Nature Conservation by doing everything possible. However awareness among the local people is one of the most important factors in order to achieve the wildlife conversation and creating a healthy atmosphere for the healthy human health. SV Medical & Healthcare not only shares the same vision and philosophy but also has a vast experience of successfully carrying out many social programs for Nature Conservation and also for spreading awareness of the Nature Conservation, such as awareness programs for school children, Tree plantation programs etc.

Supporting The Sufferers in Natural Calamities

The number and scale of natural disasters these days have been steadily increasing. Rotary Club has played an important role to support the communities during such difficult times. We found similar zest and zeal in SV Medical & Healthcare during the devastating floods seen in Western Maharashtra (India) recently. Kolhapur and the villages nearby were drawn in the muddy water. Soon after the flood was over, the health-problems due to several viral and contagious skin diseases were on the peak. It was a testing time for the citizens who got swiped by the unforeseen disastrous floods.

Be it pre-impact, post-impact, or recovery, SV Medical & Healthcare stood firm and did their best to provide all kind of help and support to the needy people who either got trapped in their houses or rescued to the nearby camps, raised by SV Medical & Healthcare with the help of other local social support groups. A team of over 250 doctors, medical, para-medical and volunteers associated with SV Medical & Healthcare worked day and night to help the people in need.

Kolhapur and nearby area saw devastating floods twice in a quick succession. During the first floods seen in the year 2019, SV Medical & Healthcare did some remarkable work by reaching out to over 65,000 people affected by floods and provided them the required medicines and food packets. Next year, when the nature demonstrated its rawness yet another time, SV Medical & Healthcare stepped up and reached out to approximately 95,000 people, much more than previous year, and provided them medicines, food packets and other daily needs.

SV Medical & Healthcare worked closely with KDRF, a recognized team of disaster management volunteers. The volunteers of SV Medical & Healthcare provided food packets to KDRF frontline workers throughout their campaign and worked their frontline workers hand-in-hand, to rescue well over 15,000 people from their houses and other vulnerable flood areas to safe shelters.

SV Medical & Healthcare teamed up with the local doctors and healthcare volunteers to build teams of frontline workers, They risked their lives and went to the remote areas, to Wadi – Vasti, to the geographically distant hilly areas and conducted healthcare camps for the needy people trapped over there. Cleaning up the debris and helping the people to fight against viral, contagious and skin diseases was another task well performed by the talented hard-working healthcare team of SV Medical & Healthcare. Rotary Club is looking forward to join hands with SV Medical & Healthcare and extend the scope of our work through the network of SV Medical & Healthcare in healthcare sector.

Remarkable Work in COVID-19 Crisis

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the forefront the important role and dedication of frontline health workers — be they doctors, nurses or community health workers — this pandemic also highlighted the need for an agile, responsive and sufficiently resourced health workforce. We observed SV Medical & Healthcare being on frontline, never stepped back during this challenging time. The volunteers of SV Medical & Healthcare not only worked hard to arrange the medicines for the patients, but also didn’t hesitate to risk their health and travelled that one last mile to deliver the medicines to the needy people at their doorstep. A team of over 250 doctors, medical, para-medical and volunteers associated with SV Medical & Healthcare worked day and night to help the community.

More than 1,000 food packets were delivered daily by SV Medical & Healthcare team of local volunteers, mainly to the healthcare frontline workers as well as poor patients or those who either could not afford the basic necessities or were cut-off from their home and families during these testing times. Lockdown trapped many on bus-stands and railway stations, awaiting the transportation to resume so as to make the journey back home. SV Medical & Healthcare read the need of these trapped travelers and supplied food packets as well as things for basic daily needs.

After successfully dealing with the first wave of COVID, when everyone was hoping to get everything back to normal, the second wave hit with even greater impact. SV Medical & Healthcare stepped again to provide medical healthcare services, delivering food packets, arranging the transport for the senior patients to go to the hospitals along with the home sanitization services and medicines delivered at doorstep of the patients.

Continued Excellence in Healthcare and Health Awareness

Many people have one or the other silent health problem, but they do not realize it. This means that, although effective medicines and therapies are available, these individuals either do not receive treatment or do not receive it in time. To prevent this, Rotary Club frequently organizes Healthcare Awareness Camps. In order to extend the impact-group

of such camps and campaigns, SV Medical & Healthcare can prove to be a very effective partner organization, especially with their vast experience of the social work in this field and their strong social bonding with one of the most reputed Healthcare Institutes and Organizations in the local community. In fact, SV Medical & Healthcare has conducted many Healthcare camps for Rotary in the past and those fetched immense success in terms of impact on wide cross-section of the society. Currently, SV Medical & Healthcare is associated with many recognized and reputed healthcare institutes and organizations such as Siddivinayak Hospital, Sunshine Cardiac Centre, and CPR Hospital.

In view of the versatile nature of work of SV Medical & Healthcare and the requirements of current Rotary projects in sight, we believe SV Medical & Healthcare can prove to be a very effective and resourceful local partner to Rotary thereby extending the scope and impact of Rotary’s projects for better effect.
